Interested in becoming of one of Crown Point's Bravest? Interested in helping the people of the city? Want to help the Crown Point Fire-Rescue, but don't want to be a firefighter? If you answered 'yes' to any of these questions, we have a way for you to help out. With three different ways to make a difference in your community, anyone can help one way or another. Explore the different ways you can help your community.

Become a firefighter...volunteer or career: CPFR is always looking for quality, hard working people to join our family. With Crown Point being one of the fastest growing communities in the region, CPFR must grow with it. The decision to become a firefighter is a serious one. Many missed meals and time with your family; it becomes your second life. There are many requirements to be eligible for this position. If you're looking into this, please check out our "becoming a firefighter" page. Here, you will get the low down on the hiring process and frequently asked questions.

CPFR also employs 20 career firefighters that rotate on a 24/48 shift schedule. With Crown Point being the fastest growing city in the county, we are always looking at expanding our full-time force.

Crown Point Fire-Rescue is currently not accepting applications at this time. Please continue to check back.

Join the CPFR Auxiliary. The auxiliary is a critical part to the CPFR mission. The two main duties of the CPFR Auxiliary are: 1) Provide support to firefighters while operating on major/extended incidents. 2) Organize and support the department fundraiser's. Money collected from these fundraiser's go toward buying necessary supplies and equipment for the firefighters. The time requirements are minimal and there are no age or physical requirements. If you have the ambition to help, this is the route for you! The CPFR Auxiliary is mainly made up of firefighter spouses and family members. However, your help is always wanted and welcomed! To find out more about this exciting opportunity to not only help your community, but the firefighters who protect it, contact the CPFR Auxiliary President.

Monetary donations. Firefighting is a never-ending, always changing industry. With budget crisis' that are hitting nearly every city in the country, we are always seeking donations to help us buy the equipment that we need, that the city may not be able to purchase for us. Some examples of equipment include: bunker gear, thermal imaging cameras, communications, vehicles, training equipment, fire prevention material, etc. This is an excellent way to help, without even stepping foot onto a firetruck. Any donation that you provide will be greatly appreciated, and will be put to life-saving use.

If you would like to donate, make checks payable to:

Crown Point Volunteer, Inc.

You may either drop off your donation at the firehouse or mail them to:
