Chief 1501

2001 Ford Expedition 4 wheel drive assigned to the Chief of the Department. Chief 1501 equipped with radios, maps, preplans, SCBA, AED and other standard command and control equipment.
     
 
Assistant Chief 1502
This vehicle is a 1995 Chevrolet Tahoe and is assigned to the Assistant Chief of the Department.
     
 

Division Chief 1508

This vehicle is assigned to the Division Chief of Inspections and Investigations. It is a 2006 Chevrolet Impala with the police package.

     
 
Engine Co. 1511

Engine 1511 is a 1993 Pierce Lance that is equipped with a 750 gallon tank, 1500 gpm Waterous pump, 6 KVA on-board generator, 1,300' of 5" supply house, (2) 200' 1 3/4" speedlays, 300' preconnect TFT blitzfire, and is classified as a Class 1 pumper. Engine 1511 is the front line engine for the city and first due on all fires and alarms; and it is second due on automobile accidents. Engine 1511 runs on average 800 calls per year.
 
Engine Co. 1512

Engine 1512 is a 1979 Mack that is equipped with a 750 gallon tank, 1500 gpm Waterous pump. This engine is slated to be replaced by Engine 1515 by summer/fall of 2007. This engine will be come a reserve pumper for a period of time. As of now, it is second due engine on working fires and alarms. Engine 1512 runs on average 200 calls per year.

Engine Co. 1515

Rescue/Engine Co. 1515 was delivered in September, 2007. Rescue/Engine 1515 is a 2007 Pierce Lance Custom Cab ALS Rescue Engine. Some of the features of this engine: 750 gallon tank, 1250 gpm Waterous pump, Amkus Rescue Tools, Thermal Imager, Advanced Life Support equipment, TAK 4 Suspension System, Task Force Tips Hurricane Wireless Remote Deck Gun. More pictures and details will be available when this truck is placed in service.
     
 
Squad 1551

Squad 1551 was placed into service in February 2007. This workhorse is a 2006 Chevrolet Duramax Diesel with and Allison transmission. Squad 1551 responds with the ambulances to all critical medical calls. This truck is staffed by cross-trained Firefighter/Paramedics. These two personnel can also staff the third ALS ambulance if needed to provide better services to the citizens of Crown Point. This truck was purchased by the Crown Point Volunteer Fire Dept, Inc with the help of the Crown Point Community Foundation.
     
 
Ambulance 1561

Ambulance 1561 is a 1999 Freightliner chassis, Excellance medium duty model. This ambulance is staffed 24/7/365 by cross-trained Firefighter/Paramedics. Ambulance 1561 responds to all medical calls, fires, automobile accidents, and investigations. Ambulance 1561 is an Indiana State Licensed Advanced Life Support (ALS) Ambulance. This ambulance averages 1,500 calls/year.
     
 
Ambulance 1562

Ambulance 1562 is a 1999 Freightliner chassis, Excellance medium duty model. This ambulance is staffed 24/7/365 by cross-trained Firefighter/Paramedics. Ambulance 1562 responds to all medical calls, fires, automobile accidents, and investigations. Ambulance 1562 is an Indiana State Licensed Advanced Life Support (ALS) Ambulance. This ambulance averages 1,500 calls/year.

Truck Co. 1521

Truck 1521 is a 1993 KME Aerialcat tower ladder. It is equipped with a 2000 gpm Hale pump. The ladder can extend 102' and has two master stream nozzles: 1 manual and 1 remote. Truck 1521 runs on average 300 calls per year.
     
 
Rescue Co. 1531

Rescue 1531 is a 1996 Saulsbury Custom HME 5 man chassis heavy rescue. This truck is equipped with a 26 kilowatt PTO generator, 12,000 pound winch, on-board and portable hydraulic systems, Amkus extrication systems, 6 bottle cascade air-refilling system, Nightscan, high pressure air bag system, and a rope rescue systems for high and low angle rescues. This truck compliments our Special Operations Unit. Rescue 1531 responds to an average of 600 calls per year.
     
 
Rescue Co. 1532

Rescue 1532 is assigned to the Special Operations Division. This truck carries personnel, equipment and also hauls the one of the three Special Operations Trailers.
     
 
Dive/Rescue 1533

Dive/Rescue 1533 is a retrofitted delivery truck.
This vehicle has 6 complete sets of diving gear, full-face masks, cold water suits, ropes, extra SCUBA tanks, and extra equipment. This truck is staffed by 6 highly trained Rescue Divers. This truck not only responds to emergencies in the cities 64 bodies of water, but also provides mutual aid to surrounding departments. This team is part of a larger, multi-county dive team.
     
 
Tanker 1541

Tanker 1541 is a 1979 International with a 3,000 gallon tank and a front bumper mounted pump. This truck is being replaced by a new tanker/pumper in spring of 2008 with a 2007 Pierce Lance Tanker/Pumper. The cab will be identical to E1515.
     
   
Coming Soon... Tanker 1542

Although majority of our service area has fire hydrants, a small yet populated section south of the city does not. Specifications of a new 2007 Pierce Lance Custom Cab Tanker/Pumper have been on going and should was ordered this summer and will be in production this summer. More information will be posted as it becomes available.
     
 
Brush 1571

Brush 1571 is a 198 GMC 3500 truck. It carries 250 gallons of water that is pumped through a 95 gpm pump. It also hauls the trailer of Brush 1573.

Brush 1573

Brush 1573 is a John Deer Gator 4x6 all terrain vehicle. It has been retrofitted with a 250 gallon water tank, small pump and a 1" hard rubber hose. This vehicle is capable of wildland suppression and a patient transportation system; used for transporting patients that are in middle of fields or any terrain unreachable by large vehicles.
     
 
Special Operations Trailer 1

Special Operations Trailer 1 is a 30' Roadmaster that carries equipment for :

  • Trench Rescue
  • Confined Space Rescue
  • High/Low Angle Rope Rescue
  • Structural Collapse Rescue
     
 
Special Operations Trailer 2

This trailer responds along with Rescue 1531 and SPEC OPS Trailer 1 for all trench rescue and structural collapse. This trailer is a lumber yard on wheels, carrying wood and pre-built devices for any technical rescue situation.

Special Operations Trailer 3

Special Operations Trailer 3 is the departments hazardous materials trailer. This trailer carries all the equipment and supplies needed to set up decontamination and mitigation of hazardous materials.
